Medellín is at ≈ 1,470 m (4,820 ft), in the temperate climate zone, where the reference temperature is an average between 17.5 and 24 °C (64–75 °F). At that altitude we recommend the Maltese, the Maltipoo, the Cavalier, the Cockapoo, the Border Collie, and the Blue Heeler without reservations; the Bernese comes with reservations.

The nearest airport with scheduled flights is Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH, Medellín), about 3 km (2 mi) in a straight line from Medellín. The rules for flying with a puppy are changing, so we confirm them with the airline every time; a puppy never travels alone or in the hold.
