Casa Trufa

Terms and conditions

This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version of this page is the one that applies and prevails in case of any difference. Read the Spanish version.

These terms govern the use of the Casa Trufa website and the relationship with anyone who writes to us through it. Using the website means accepting them.

1. Who provides the service

  • Responsible party: Casa Trufa, a family kennel in Colombia.
  • Domicile: Colombia
  • Email: hola@casatrufa.com

The full name or registered business name of the responsible party and its tax identification will be published on this page. In the meantime you can ask for them in writing at hola@casatrufa.com; you are entitled to that information before any agreement.

2. What this website is and what it is not

The website gives information about how we raise our dogs, the breeds, the parents of the litters and their health tests, and it publishes guides and articles. It also offers two things: asking for information and joining a waiting list, always by WhatsApp or by email.

No contract to sell an animal (compraventa) is entered into on the website. There is no basket, no payment is taken, and no text on the website is a binding offer for a specific animal: publishing a planned litter does not oblige us to hand over a puppy to whoever asks first. The agreement about a puppy is made in writing, outside the website, under the reservation and contract terms.

3. The waiting list

Joining the waiting list is free unless stated otherwise in writing, does not commit the person who joins to anything, and does not guarantee a puppy or a date. Puppies are matched by looking for the fit between each puppy and each family, not by who arrived first or who pays more. You can ask us to take you off the list whenever you like.

4. Guidance and the quiz

The quiz and our answers are guidance given in good faith, based on what you tell us. They are not a veterinary or behavioral opinion, and the decision to live with a dog is yours. We may say that a breed — or none of ours — does not fit your situation, and we may decline a handover if we believe it is not in the animal’s interest.

5. Informational content

The guides, comparisons, delivery pages and blog articles are informational. They cite their sources and their date; rules and the conditions set by airlines or institutions change, so confirm them before you decide. Texts about health do not replace a consultation with a veterinarian, and texts about laws are not legal advice. The price ranges quoted are figures advertised by third parties, with their source; they are not Casa Trufa prices.

6. Permitted use

  • You may read, link to and quote the content, stating the source.
  • You may not copy the website or its photographs to present them as your own, or use the Casa Trufa name to offer animals: it is one of the usual forms of fraud. If you see anything like that, let us know at hola@casatrufa.com.
  • You may not try to access restricted areas, interfere with how the site works or extract data in bulk. Search engines and assistants may read the website as set out in /robots.txt.

7. Intellectual property

The texts, the design and the brand belong to Casa Trufa. Third-party photographs carry their credit and their license. The geographic and climate data come from public sources cited in Methodology and sources.

8. Legal age

We only agree the handover of a puppy with adults of legal age.

9. Service continuity and liability

We try to keep the website working and its information accurate, but there may be errors, interruptions or details that have changed. We correct whatever is pointed out to us. Nothing said here limits the rights that Colombia’s Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011) grants to consumers, which cannot be waived.

10. Personal data

The processing of your data is governed by the privacy policy and personal data processing page and the cookie policy.

11. Claims, governing law and changes

Petitions, complaints and claims are submitted through the PQRS channel (hola@casatrufa.com). These terms are governed by Colombian law. If they change, the new version is published here with its date; what has already been agreed in writing with a family is not modified by a change to this page.
